Frequently asked questions

What are the advantages of using brass valves?

Brass valves are known for their durability, corrosion resistance, and excellent conductivity. They are suitable for both high and low-temperature applications and provide a reliable seal.

Can brass valves be used for potable water?

Yes, brass valves are often used for potable water systems as they are safe and resistant to corrosion and mineral build-up.

How do I ensure a proper fit with Bauer couplings?

Ensure that both male and female ends are clean and free from debris before connecting. Secure the locking lever to ensure a tight and leak-proof connection.

Are Bauer couplings compatible with other coupling systems?

Bauer couplings are designed to work specifically with Bauer-type connections. Adapters may be required to connect them to other coupling systems.

What are the benefits of using galvanised fittings?

Galvanised fittings offer excellent corrosion resistance, making them ideal for outdoor and industrial applications where exposure to moisture and harsh environments is common.

How do I prevent galvanised fittings from rusting?

While galvanised fittings are resistant to rust, it's important to check for any damage to the coating. Regular maintenance and ensuring a dry environment can help prolong their lifespan.
